Nordic Migrant Expert Forum
The Nordic Migrant Expert Forum 2025-2027 consists of 16 Experts on Integration. All Members are born outside the Nordic Region and have migrated to a Nordic country.
The experts have been selected by the Ministries responsible for integration in the Nordic countries, to secure a well-founded and diverse knowledge base for Nordic cooperation on integration.
Each Forum member possesses expertise in one or more of the following areas: labour market, education, social and health care, gender equality, democracy and citizenship, or segregation. They represent an organisation that works with integration, or participate as an individual expert in an area relevant to integration of refugees and immigrants.
Nordic cooperation in focus
The Nordic Migrant Expert Forum was established to encourage closer dialogue between the Nordic Council of Ministers and foreign-born individuals in the Nordics who want to be involved in the work towards creating a socially sustainable Nordic Region. The Expert Forum provides professional input what successful integration of migrants in the Nordic countries is, and how to ensure Nordic cooperation in the field.
Established in 2022
The first Nordic Migrant Expert Forum was established in 2022. The Forum was appointed for three years, 2022-2024. Learn more about the Nordic Migrant Expert Forum 2022-2024 here.
The Nordic Migrant Expert Forum contributes to the Nordic Council of Ministers’ Vision 2030 and especially to the priority of creating a socially sustainable Nordic Region.
